Dr. David DeRose is a board-certified specialist in both Internal Medicine and Preventive Medicine.  He also holds a Masters of Public Health degree with an emphasis in Health Promotion and Health Education.  Dr. DeRose is currently President of CompassHealth, Inc based in New Gloucester, Maine.
 
Dr. DeRose has pioneered innovative strategies for dealing with chronic diseases like diabetes.  He was one of the founding physicians and later Medical Director of the progressive Christian health center known as the Lifestyle Center of America.  His medical research emphasizing non-drug strategies for chronic diseases has been published in peer-reviewed scientific journals including the Journal of the American Medical Association, the Annals of Epidemiology, and Preventive Medicine.

Although Dr. DeRose is comfortable speaking to professional groups, he has a reputation for clearly communicating his lessons to diverse audiences.  He is a popular speaker for churches and Christian conferences. Dr. DeRose’s eclectic background helps him empathize with people of various backgrounds and ethnic groups.  On behalf of CompassHealth he speaks internationally on physical health and spiritual themes.

Dr. DeRose is married to Sonja Brandt DeRose, M.D.  They have three children, Angela (16 years old), Victor (14), and Michael (11).
